Hi. I am Lori's friend, Chelle. She is keeping me posted. My son has had 2 heart surgeries...the first one was through the side to put in a shunt and the second - open heart -was when he was 5 1/2 mo. old. He's done great! We'll have to have some valve replacements in the future so we're not out of the woods, but I'm familiar with the "surgery game." The waiting is most difficult part. I wish the cardiologists would be more forthright in the beginning, but I think they wait for all the tests to come back before they tell you anything. We can totally relate to what you are going through. Truman will do well...he's a strong boy with a strong name (love it!) and strong parents! Best wishes! You are in our prayers!

Oh my gosh, Kaiti!!! He is beautiful!!
No one ever guessed Truman, and I love it!

Kaiti, my oldest had Transposition of the Great Vessels and had his first open heart surgery at 1 week. this was back in the olden days (31 years ago). It was sooo scary to wait and wonder, but every thing was great. Monday will be a very long day (even if the surgery only takes an hour, it feels like 10). I will be praying for you guys and for Truman and the doctors and surgery.

I will check on Monday to see how things went.

If you need someone to listen give me a call. Some times its hard to talk with people who are too close.

My number is 255-2772

Kaiti and Marc,

He's so beautiful! Let me know if I can help in any way.

I'll let our common neighbor know what's going on. She's been asking about you guys.

Much love,
Peg
