All right, already!
Yes, it has been forever since I updated. It's been a fun summer, not that I have any pictures to prove it. You'll just have to trust me. The fall season is always a busy time in our house. We celebrated Marc's birthday at the end of September and Truman's birthday just a few days ago. My baby is 2 years old! and what a great two years it has been (minus that rocky first two months). Truman is just as sweet as ever. He is a very sensitive and loving boy who just melts your heart with every smile. Here are a few pics of the celebrations.
Marc's birthday cake. The "1" candle is all we had. So Marc, you are number the # 1..... DAD!!, yea that works.
Trumie's birthday cupcakes. They were delish!
Not sure about the lit candles
Yeah, he really didn't like the lit candles. This picture was taken right before the full on meltdown.
Present time! This was much less stressful

An overview of the haul: One puzzle, two potty books, a case full of twelve mini board books, and one Yo Gabba Gabba DVD (which we have already watched 200 times since Thursday), just kidding, it just seems like it. We love you Truman!!!

Lagoon Day
Last Saturday was the annual company Lagoon day for Del Sol. As always, a good time was had by all. We enjoyed good food, good company, good weather and even won a prize from the raffle. It was actually my ticket that won. We got an awesome Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker that whips up a quart of ice cream in about a half an hour. Of course we had to try it out promptly, so yesterday we made up a batch of mango ice cream. It was delish! This is actually the second time in my life I have won an ice cream maker. When I was five (or six) years old, I won one of those that uses the ice and rock salt from a contest at a local bank. I am so excited to whip up all sorts of ice cream flavors this summer. Well enough about me, Here are some pics from our fun day at Lagoon

Hanging out

Truman and Minnie always hang out together. Truman loves to stick things out Minnie's doggie door. At any given moment there will be a large pile of both dog toys and kid toys hindering Minnie's exit. Whenever Tru goes up stairs to take nap or bathtime, or bedtime, he always calls to Minnie to come up stairs too. Truman is also a very good dog walker as you can see. What a pair. ~Marc

Easter Pics (a little late)
Whew! I can't believe Easter has come and gone already. We had a fun time with family with a marathon all day two family Easter party day. There was a fun Easter egg hunt with eggs filled with candy and money at my sister's and we all got into it. Truman found a few eggs and made a $1.90, which is good because he really needs to start earning his keep around here. Here are some pics to enjoy

Cheezin it up for the camera

Tru with his Easter basket. A coloring book with stickers and a wind up toy chicken that lays eggs. I thought he would love that, but he just cried when the eggs fell out.

St. George, Utah
We took a little vacation down to Southern Utah (St. George) and enjoyed some warmer weather for a bit. Of course of all the things that we could forget to pack, we forgot the camera. So here are some phone pics of our trip.

Catch up
Wow.... It's been a long time since I updated this blog. It's very nearly spring time and Truman has done a lot of growing since I last updated at Christmas. Truman is in the "busy baby" stage. He is walking all over, climbing on furniture and constantly rearranging my pantry. He figured out the stairs last week and tries to escape upstairs any chance he gets. We're still working on getting him to say more words, but for now it's just "mama, dada, baby, and BaZoom". Well, BaZoom is not really a word, but it's something that Marc has said to Truman ever since he was little to entertain him while he is strapped in his car seat when we're on a drive. So, Truman thinks it's a real word, and it's super cute to hear him say it.
Here are some pics I have taken over the past few months that show a little bit of what life has been like for us lately.
When I realized that I couldn't leave anything that isn't taped shut in reaching distance of baby hands

Christmas Smiles
We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We sure had a lot of fun at our house this year. Truman was all smiles on Christmas morning, even though he doesn't really know what all the fuss is about. He gave us some good cheeser's for the camera. Thanks Bud!
