Truman had his first pool party this weekend. We were very excited. As you can see we bought him a cute swimsuit and a turtle float. Truman, however, was much less enthused than his parents. In fact he pretty much screamed the whole time we were any where near the pool. So, needless to say, we didn't stay in very long. We'll try again in a little while when he is a little older.

Truman loves to stand in his crib these days. He likes to have a different vantage point than just looking at the ceiling all the time. He just looks around in amazement like he is in a foreign country. I love it.

Isn't it so funny how parents get so excited about something (first time in a swimming pool, first Halloween, etc.), and then the kid absolutely hates it? Or won't stop crying? Or is scared? Haha. That's life! :) We tried Jill in the pool this summer. It went over better than anticipated, because she still cries during most baths, but she handled it pretty well the second or third time we put her in.
