New pics

I thought it was about time to snap some photos of my living doll, since she is coming up on her half birthday. I'm not actually organized enough to make an appointment for professional pictures, so I just used my regular old digital camera and picked up a $2.99 dress at the thrift store. They turned out fairly well. Really, how can you go wrong when you have subject as sweet and beautiful as Miss Audrey

And, of course the only smile I got during the photo shoot was this one. It's actually my favorite photo though

We can't forget about this baby too. Well, maybe not a baby to you anymore, but he will always be one to me.

3 months

Seriously, where has the time gone? I can't believe this little lady is already three months old. We are so blessed to have this girl in our family. She has such a sweet disposition and already sleeps through the night! How did I ever get so lucky? I hope I just didn't jinx myself.

Audrey is holding her head up very well, she smiles a lot and we've even heard a giggle or two come out of that sweet toothless mouth. I've been trying to get a picture of her grinning because it is the cutest thing ever, but she always stops when the camera flashes. I'll keep trying. One of these days I'm sure I will catch it.

How cool is she?

7 weeks

Little Miss Audrey is getting cuter and cuter every day. We are starting to settle and get into a routine around here, finally. Truman loves to kiss his little sister's head and say "Hi pretty girl" to her whenever he get's the chance. He also likes to keep her company when she does tummy time. He insists on laying on his tummy right next to her. I gotta say, it's pretty darn cute even though I have to watch them like a hawk so he doesn't accidently roll on top of her. All in all, things are going very well. We love our precious little bundle.

Love this girl

Could she be any cuter?

Audrey is now just about 4 weeks old. She had a weight check today and is now 7 lbs 15 ounces. Still a tiny little thing, but she is is growing right on track. She is a very sweet baby, and only cries when she is hungry or wants to be cuddled. She loves to be wrapped in her soft fuzzy blanket as you can see from the photos.

This photo was taken a couple of weeks ago. She has filled out quite a bit more since then

Beautiful Girl

Audrey Marie has made her arrival!!!!

Our little angel was born on Wednesday morning at 7:30 am. Kind of an interesting story since I had gone to the hospital the day before for a scheduled C-section and was expecting to meet her within just an hour or so of getting to the hospital that day. Fortunately she had other plans and I ended up being able to have a VBAC, which is what I wanted all along. When we got to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon we found out that my surgery had been "bumped" by someone needing an emergency C-section (which I can totally appreciate). It just so happened that I thought that I might be having contractions (thought... because I never went into labor with Truman). So when they hooked me up to the monitor, sure enough I was having fairly consistent contractions. Since we were already having to wait for our turn we decided to talk to my Dr and see if there was any way that we could see if I progressed on my own and could ditch the C-section. She agreed and the rest is history. After a very long labor through the night, our little munchkin was born and we could not be more happy with how things turned out.

The weight shot. 6 lbs 10 ounces

It's about time.

We are expecting a baby girl addition to our family. I posted this on facebook a few weeks ago, but neglected to post anything on this blog. Woops. We are thrilled to be expanding our family, and having a boy and girl on the first and second try is a dream come true for me. My due date is July 5 so I have about four months left. This pregnancy has been kind to me. I had very little if any morning sickness and the fatigue isn't much more than I had just chasing Truman around all day. The only difference I can see in my pregnancies is that I CRAVE spicy foods with this one. I am not a spicy girl, but I can't get enough hot sauce. I must have a sassy, spicy little thing inside me. We can't wait to meet her!
