Truman's 1st Christmas was as amazing as the rest of his life has been so far. It was Christmas Eve Eve, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even Minnie's new toy mouse. When all about 11 pm there arose such a clatter. The doorbell was chiming, ringing and singing. We jumped out of bed to see what was the matter. Minnie was freaking out, so we looked out the window to see what was about. A car sat out front the engine in idle, but that ringing and knocking grew louder and louder. Kaiti watched from above while I went to the door. I turned on the porch light to give them the what for. The knocking it stopped, doorbell was quiet. We thought to ourselves some teens on a riot. I peered through the door window expecting the clan, but out by the carport was only 1 man. He stopped and looked back, tense with anticipation. I waited a bit with great trepidation. He came back to the door and he knocked and he rang, Minnie FREAKED out once again, she was being a pain. Kaiti yelled from above, Don't answer the DOOR! They might bust right in, knocking you to the floor. The doorbell still ringing I looked out the blinds, a box on the porch, the doorbell still chimed. I opened the door to see the big fuss. The man and a girl ran off yelling "Merry Christmas". There on the porch my jaw hit the ground. Boxes and presents and food did abound. Our hearts filled with warmth, our eyes filled with tears, this Christmas was better than all other years. A visit we had from those with large hearts. Christmas Angels we thank you where ere thou art.
Not the best poem, but certainly the best Christmas. Enjoy the new pictures of Truman, sorry for the delay. He just keeps growing and growing. He last weighed 11 lbs 5 oz. He smiles a lot and we are close to getting him to laugh.
